Color Grading for a Jeep ad that I colored earlier this year. To increase focus on the vehicle, besides the normal contouring, I also lightened the dirt road to give it a sandy clay feel matched to one part of the shoot. It separates the subject from the background in a way other methods can't.

Music and Dance video by Scott Winn featuring a long single take moving from room to room. I designed separate looks for each of the spaces throughout the apartment and then keyframed various elements to turn off and on gradually between each movement so the color change would feel seamless. It was important to maintain an overall consistency throughout, but at the same time to separate each room for the desired effect. I also bent some of the hues from the moonlight in the bedroom to the cooler feel of the bathroom. I wanted my color grade to enhance the feeling of the production design without calling attention to itself so the performance and music would shine.
This is a short Red Bull Documentary I colored about Colin Strickland's training to win the 200-mile Unbound Gravel Racing competition this year.

This was a touching short film based on the hymn, A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief. The goal was to mute the colors quite a bit, especially at the beginning so things would feel cold, stark, and unwelcoming. As things progress I opened that up a bit to try and mirror the emotion of each scene with the aesthetic feel. There's a timelapse section in the middle that was all shot at the same time of day, but I was able to create some differences in lighting to feel like different days and different times to expand the amount of time the two character's relationship develops. There were a few other tricky sections with lighting that I pulled some pretty advanced selections on. Every project has it's own quirks. Pretty happy with how it turned out. #remotecolorist #colorgrading #colorcorrection, #InspirationalShortFilm #christianfilm #apoorwayfaringmanofgreif
